Machines Controlled By The Human Mind Part 2....

More information on the evolution of mind control experiments, leading to controlling machines with your mind.

"...humanity should shift its mission from the ancient dictum “Know thyself” to “Construct thyself.”Dr. Jose Delgado
To some, it might seem like we have not been speaking too much about brains controlling machines, but rather, about minds themselves being controlled.  Although this might appear contradictory it is not.  Both ideas are related.  Once the mind is understood, then it cannot only be controlled by outside forces, but, also can control the outside forces, or, in this case machines.  After Project Pandora, the mind experimentation did not end in the United States.  There are some researchers that have delved into this subject in great depth.  One of them is Nick Begich.  He has written several books on the subject of mind control.  See them below in the Amazon carousel.  One of these researchers was Dr. Jose Delgado.  He was researcher at Yale University during the 1950s and 60s who experimented with implantable chips and their effect on human behavior and human emotions.  In the 1973, a book named Between Two Ages, written by Zbigniew Brzezinski.
"In addition, it may be possible--and tempting--to exploit for strategic-political purposes the fruits of research on the brain and on human behavior. Gordon J. F. MacDonald, a geophysicist specializing in problems of warfare, has written that timed artificially excited electronic strokes could lead to a pattern of oscillations that produce relatively high power levels over certain regions of the earth.... In this way, one could develop a system that would seriously impair the brain performance of very large populations in selected regions over an extended period.... No matter how deeply disturbing the thought of using the environment to manipulate behavior for national advantages to some, the technology permitting such use will very probably develop within the next few decades."
This is a very Orwellian view of the use of technology.

Another technology discovered was by Robert Munroe, in whose name, an institute has been founded.  He discovered and patented a method by which the brain could "hear" low frequencies down to 7 Hz.  This low frequency produced enhanced human performance of concentration and focused thinking.

MKUltra Project
This CIA project was conducted during the 1950s and 1960s.  It was done using LSD and other drugs to be able to brainwash people.  What made it more hideous is that unwilling civilians were experimented on by the CIA in America without their consent or knowledge, resulting in a suicide in 1959.  Americans did not know about this secret program until the 1970s when the Church Committee in the senate began an investigation on the CIA.  Here is a famous excerpt from that committee:
The Deputy Director of the CIA revealed that over thirty universities and institutions were involved in an "extensive testing and experimentation" program which included covert drug tests on unwitting citizens "at all social levels, high and low, native Americans and foreign." Several of these tests involved the administration of LSD to "unwitting subjects in social situations." At least one death, that of Dr. Olson, resulted from these activities. The Agency itself acknowledged that these tests made little scientific sense. The agents doing the monitoring were not qualified scientific observers.**

For an understanding of the current public state of brain to machine control you may go to Charlie Rose who in July of 2010 did an astounding roundtable discussion with some of the great scientific researchers in this area.  You may see it here.  We could not embed it.

Braingate
Braingate is a combination of software and hardware that acts as an interface between the human brain and a computer.  Its purpose is to interpret the electrical impulses sent from the brain into computer language, that tells the computer what to do.  At its present state of sophistication, it involves a silicon implant in the brain that connects to a computer with the Braingate software.  Here is the information on this most extraordinary team of researchers in their own mission statement.
The BrainGate research team includes leading neurologists, neuroscientists, engineers, computer scientists, neurosurgeons, mathematicians, and other researchers – all focused on developing technologies to restore the communication, mobility, and independence of people with neurologic disease, injury, or limb loss. This diverse and collaborative team creates and tests the devices that are ushering in a new era of transformative neurotechnologies. Using a baby aspirin-sized array of electrodes implanted into the brain, early research from the BrainGate team has shown that the neural signals associated with the intent to move a limb can be “decoded” by a computer in real-time and used to operate external devices. This investigational system, called BrainGate (Caution: Investigational Device. Limited by Federal Law to Investigational Use.) has allowed people with spinal cord injury, brainstem stroke, and ALS to control a computer cursor simply by thinking about the movement of their own paralyzed hand.  Current research is focused not only on improving the ability to operate a computer, but also on providing people with ALS, spinal cord injury, and stroke with reliable, constant control over their environment. The technology may ultimately give “natural” control over advanced prosthetic limbs, provide people with paralysis easy control over powerful assistive movement and communication devices, and, eventually, enable naturally-controlled movements of paralyzed limbs. In addition, we developing a new generation of wireless medical technologies that will be able to record and monitor neural activity to assist in the diagnosis and management of neurologic disease.

functional MRI (fMRI)

Dr. Jonathan Cohen, Eugene Higgins Professor of Psychology at Princeton University has lead neural research with monkeys operating robotic arms using their brains, wirelessly.  His ultimate goal is to map the brain using what is called, a functional MRI (fMRI). This machine allows a real time look at the brain during its different functions, revealing in color what parts of the brain are responsible for different activities.  As pictured in these images of the brain at rest.  Eventually it is hoped, the brain will be fully understood as to what part of it does what.  This insight will allow scientists to manufacture machines that can be connected to the brain and through which people will be able to walk again, using artificial limbs, etc.  These artificial devices will feel like the natural organs of the body.  The brain will feel at home with them, not being able to distinguish them from their natural counterparts.

Cray T3E Supercomputer
The processing is to intense, that a Cray T3E supercomputer has to be used to process all the firings of the millions of neurons in the small area of the brain that is being mapped.  For a more detailed view of his work you may look here.

Michael Callahan
His company has developed several applications for a device that is placed around the neck and is able to pick up speech without it being actually spoken outloud.  This technology allows him to voiceless communication, including speaking on a cell phone without actually speaking, as well as controlling a wheelchair with just your thoughts.  Regarding the voiceless communications technology, a bnet article said this.
The technology does have room to improve. Right now, the Audeo can pick up a maximum of 30 words per minute, about one fifth the rate of normal speech. And learning the "language" of speaking in phonemes takes days of practice. Once mastered, though, the Audeo can do neat things like enable people to carry on phone conversations without making a sound. Ambient is also working on a cellphone interface, with the goal of scrapping the computer completely and reducing the price. "Eventually," Callahan says, "we want it to cost as little as a Bluetooth headset."

In our next section we will investigate the sinister uses of both the minds being controlled scenarios and minds controlling machinery scenarios.

It is more national to disrupt third attempts than capital, but it is however concluded.

Nice site, keep up the good work, my colleagues would love this. I read many blogs every day, and for the most part people lack substance, but not in this case. I just wanted to make a short comment to say I’m glad I found your blog, I'm gonna bookmark this www.plusultratech.com web site. Thanks
